Egg Corns

An eggcorn is what happens when someone tries to use a word or expression that they've heard, but never seen written down. The name comes from someone calling an acorn an "eggcorn." You can learn more here. I will be posting eggcorns, mangled idioms, and other examples of language that make me laugh or make my head hurt.

Now day's it seems that lawyers don't care about anything except the ole mighty dollar.

I like this folksy take on the phrase “almighty dollar.” Lookit that ol’ mighty dollar over there, Leroy!

“Now day’s,” on the other hand, is just stupid.
