We are as bored as you are by the Julia Allison beat, but come on, this is such a neat encapsulation of why: banal, braggy, plain old stupid, and obsessed with brand names. If there was a ton of cheese on the table, I could probably chalk it up to being a pun.  The proper term is craft service, or as wikipedia puts it, “crafts service.”  The reason the article gives for the plural makes sense, although I have only ever seen the singular in movie credits.  Most craft services providers seem to use the singluar ‘craft’ in their own business names/descriptions.
